Here’s the New Deal

So much for my natural homebirth. On May 16th, I was admitted to a hospital for an emergency C-section. The next day I gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby boy, but I nearly died. I was in a coma for about two weeks and then remained in the hospital for another two months as I fought a rare pregnancy-induced blood disorder called Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. Now, it’s over six months since my baby was born. I’m due for a surgery in January to attach my colon to my illium since I had to have most of my colon removed due to blood clots, but all in all I’m doing well and grateful for everything I have.

However, this mess turned my life upside down and ruined many of my attachment parenting dreams. And I’ve been left with way less income than I was planning for. It’s been a rough road, yet I’m determined to get back on my feet full swing, be an excellent mother and wife, and live an eco-friendly and socially responsible life. It’s not easy being green, spiritual, and healthy while living on an income that falls below the poverty line, but I’m going to make it possible.

Here is where I’ll begin the journey….
